I have been busy during the last two week working, working on Barrel and traveling. Sorry for the lack of news.
Barrel 013 have been finally published including latest improvements and some fixes. This is the first release that is fetching all the dependencies from hex.pm instead of retrieving them from github. The dependencies are now cached and available via the Amazon CDN, next your door.
Nicolas started to work on a Docker image. It should be available sometimes next week.
Related to the discussions in the Replicated Apps category, I have started some work to add a new feature to Barrel. Initial code should land at the end of the week.
Also it will be possible to cross-compile the next version of barrel with a support of the Raspberry platform, UDOO Neo and the Beagle Bone Black board.
Documentation will land during the week-end. A brand new documentation website is coming with some tutorials and a general overview of barrel (what it is, what it is not).
Finally, I am working on a roadmap for the next features/releases. Hopefully it will helps you to figure how you can contribute to the project. I will be be busy until Wednesday at the Erlang Factory Lite in Berlin so don’t expect it until Friday.
Have a good week!
